Serve your help center from your own domain, such as help.acme.com, so it looks like part of your website.
Custom domains are included in your free trial and on the Essential plan. You need the Owner or Admin role.
Before you start
Choose a subdomain you control, such as help.acme.com or support.acme.com. Root domains like acme.com aren't supported.
Make sure you can add DNS records for that domain.
Make sure the subdomain isn't already used by another website or service.
Step 1: Enter your domain
Go to Settings → Custom Domain.
Enter the hostname you want to use, for example help.acme.com. Don't include https://, a port, or a path.
Start the connection.
Step 2: Prove you own the domain
Supahelp shows an ownership TXT record.
In your DNS provider, add the TXT record exactly as shown. Use Copy host or name and Copy TXT value.
Back in Supahelp, select Verify records.
The ownership check is valid for 7 days. Add the record within that time.
Step 3: Point your domain to Supahelp
Supahelp shows a CNAME record.
In your DNS provider, add the CNAME record. Use Copy CNAME target for the value.
Select Verify records.
See DNS records for your custom domain for help with each provider.
Step 4: Wait for HTTPS
Once DNS is configured, Supahelp prepares a secure HTTPS certificate. You'll see Preparing HTTPS. This usually takes a few minutes but can take longer. You can safely leave the page and come back.
Step 5: You're live
When the connection is ready, your custom domain becomes your main help center address. Visitors to your Supahelp address are redirected to your custom domain automatically.
Connection progress
Step | What it means |
Waiting for ownership proof | Add the TXT record and verify. |
Waiting for DNS | Add the CNAME record and verify. |
Preparing HTTPS | DNS is correct. The certificate is being issued. |
After connecting
Keep both DNS records in place. Removing them can take your custom domain offline.
