Already have help content in documents or on another website? Import knowledge turns it into editable pages in Supahelp so you don't have to copy and paste.
Where to find it
Open Knowledge Base Editor and select Import knowledge. Choose a source to get started.
You need the Owner, Admin, or Editor role to import content.
Import sources
Source | What it imports | Status |
Upload files | PDF, Word (DOCX), and text (TXT) files from your device, up to 10 at a time | Available |
Website URL | One published help article from a public web address | Available |
Connected app | Pages from Notion or Google Docs | Coming soon |
Paste text | Written content or Markdown pasted into Supahelp | Coming soon |
How importing works
Choose a source and add your files or a web address.
Import. Supahelp reads each source and converts its content into a page. Keep the dialog open until it finishes.
Review the results. Each file shows whether it was added, skipped because it was already imported, or couldn't be imported.
Edit in Page storage. Imported pages land in Page storage, which is private. Customers can't see them.
Move and publish. When a page is ready, move it into your navigation and publish your help center.
What's kept and what isn't
Supahelp keeps the text and structure of your content wherever the source format allows:
Word documents and website articles keep headings, bulleted and numbered lists, tables, quotes, bold and italic text, and links.
PDF and text files are imported as paragraphs. Add headings and lists in the editor afterwards.
Images are not imported. Add them again in the editor with an image block.
Your original files
Supahelp keeps a copy of each imported source as a record of where a page came from. Once a page is created, you edit the page itself. Changes to the original file don't update the page, and editing the page doesn't change the original file.
