Import an article from a website

On this page
If your help content already lives on a public website, such as an old help center or documentation site, you can import it one article at a time by pasting its web address.
What you need
The full web address of one article, starting with http:// or https://.
The page must be publicly accessible. Pages behind a login, on a private network, or on localhost can't be imported.
Import an article
Open Knowledge Base Editor and select Import knowledge.
Choose Website URL.
Paste the article's address into Article URL.
Select Import.
When the import finishes, the page is added to Page storage.
What gets imported
Supahelp reads the main article content on the page and skips navigation menus, headers, footers, cookie banners, forms, and scripts.
It keeps:
The article title
Headings, paragraphs, and quotes
Bulleted and numbered lists
Tables
Code blocks
Bold, italic, inline code, and links
It doesn't keep images, embedded videos, or interactive elements. Add these again in the editor.
Tips
Import the article page itself, not a category or home page. Listing pages don't have a single article to extract.
Check the result. Some help centers load content with JavaScript after the page opens. If Supahelp can't find readable content, copy the text into a Word document and import the file instead.
Pace large migrations. Website imports are rate limited. If you see "Too many URL imports", wait a little while and try again.
