On this page
Ask Supa lets visitors ask a question in your public help center and receive an answer based on your published articles, with links to the sources. Visitors do not need a Supahelp account.
Turn it on or off
You need the Owner or Admin role.
Open Settings → AI Configuration.
Find Supa for your customer.
Turn Enable Ask Supa on or off.
This switch controls customer answers. Enable Supa for your team is a separate setting.
If the switch is disabled, the feature may not be available for your workspace yet. Contact Supahelp support if you need help checking availability.
How customers ask
Open your public help center.
Type a question into the search field.
Select the Supa AI action beside the field or in the search results.
Read the answer and open its source articles to check the details.
Ask a follow-up question if you need more detail.
Article search is still available. Typing a search query alone does not generate an AI answer.
What Supa knows
Supa answers from the current published Knowledge Base for your workspace. It does not use private drafts, Page storage, requests, emails, or internal comments.
If your articles do not contain enough information, Supa may ask for clarification or explain that it cannot answer. Customers can still browse articles or use Request for Help.
Credits and availability
Each answered question uses 10 AI credits from your workspace. Follow-up answers also use credits. Visitors are not charged.
Ask Supa may be hidden when it is switched off or fewer than 10 credits are available. Temporary service limits can also prevent an answer, even when you have credits.
Publishing updated articles queues them for AI search preparation. New content may not be available to Supa immediately after publication.
Improve answers
Put the actual steps, limits, prices, and exceptions in your articles.
Give each article a clear title and useful headings.
Resolve contradictory instructions across articles.
Keep sensitive information out of published content.
Test a few real customer questions after publishing.
See AI credits explained and AI and your data.
