On this page
Connect Codex, Claude Code or Cursor to work with your Supahelp articles and support requests. MCP is the connection between your coding agent and Supahelp.
Connect your agent
Open the connection settings. Go to Settings → AI Configuration → Coding agent connections. You need to be an owner, admin or editor.
Choose your agent and permissions. Select Codex, Claude Code or Cursor. Give the connection a name, choose what it can do, and set an expiry date.
Copy the configuration. Paste the supplied Configuration into the file shown in the setup instructions. Replace any existing Supahelp connection settings and keep your other settings. Save the file and restart your agent.
Check the connection. Ask your agent: “Which Supahelp workspace are you connected to? Show me one article.” Confirm it has the right workspace before asking for changes.
The configuration contains a private access token, like a password. It is shown once. Keep it out of chat messages and shared code. If you lose it, create a new connection.
Choose what your agent can do
Read: Find and read articles, including private drafts. This permission is required.
Edit drafts: Create, edit, import or organize articles without publishing them.
Publish site: Make reviewed changes live on your help center.
Create support requests: Add new requests.
Close support requests: Close requests with an optional internal note. Closing does not email the customer.
Choose only the permissions you need. Set your coding agent to ask for confirmation before changing anything or publishing. Supahelp’s in-app approval cards do not apply to connected coding agents.
Review before publishing
Saving an article creates a draft. To make it public, place it in your help center navigation and publish.
Ask your agent to show the publication preview first. Publishing includes every pending article, navigation and settings change. If you see unrelated changes, resolve them before publishing.
For more on approvals, read What Requires Your Approval?.
If the connection stops working
Check whether the connection has expired and whether it has the permission needed for your task. Restart the agent after changing its setup. If connection settings are missing, ask your workspace administrator.
Remove a connection in the same settings page when you no longer need it, or if its token has been shared.
