On this page
Your home page is the first thing customers see. Make it recognizably yours with your name, logo, colors, and a clear search prompt.
Open site settings
In the Knowledge Base Editor, open Site settings. Settings are grouped into General, Branding, and Homepage.
General
Setting | What it does |
Product / help center name | The name shown in your help center header and browser tab. Required. |
Logo upload | Your logo, shown in the header. PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, or SVG. |
Logo destination URL | Where customers go when they select your logo, such as your website. Use a full URL (https://example.com) or / for your help center home. |
Branding
Set the look of your help center, including colors and fonts. Enter colors as hex values, for example #1A2B3C.
Homepage
Hero
The hero is the large area at the top of the home page with the search bar.
Heading: the main question, for example "How can we help you?"
Supporting text: a short line under the heading, for example "Search our helpful articles to find answers to your questions."
Search placeholder: the hint text inside the search box.
Background
Choose one of three hero background styles:
Solid color: a single hex color
Gradient: a CSS linear-gradient(...) value, for example linear-gradient(135deg, #4F46E5, #06B6D4)
Image: upload a background image
Main cards
Main cards point customers to Getting started, your FAQ, and Request for Help. Choose a destination for each card. You can't publish until every main card has a valid destination.
Browse topics
The Browse topics section is filled automatically from your top-level folders in the navigation tree. To add a topic, create a new top-level folder and add published pages to it.
Publish
Select Publish. Branding and homepage changes are listed in the publish summary.
Tips
Use a logo with a transparent background so it looks good on any header color.
Keep enough contrast between the hero background and the heading text.
Keep the supporting text to one short sentence.
