On this page
The activity timeline is a complete, chronological history of a request. Use it to see what changed, when, and who changed it.
Find the timeline
Open a request and go to Internal notes and activity. The activity timeline lists events from oldest to newest.
What's recorded
The timeline records meaningful changes to a request, including:
The request being created, and where it came from
Status changes
Severity changes
Request type changes
Team changes
Assignee and primary follower changes
Title changes
When a property changes, the timeline shows the previous value and the new value, for example "Status: In Review → In Progress".
Who sees it
Only your team. Customers never see the activity timeline.
History stays accurate
Each event shows names and values as they were when the change happened. If a team is renamed later, older events still show the name it had at the time.
Common uses
Handoffs: see what happened before a request was assigned to you
Customer questions: confirm when a request was closed or reopened
Reviews: understand how long requests spent in each status
If the timeline doesn't load
If you see Activity timeline could not be loaded., refresh the page. The request's data is unaffected.
